Proteomics International is accredited for compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory standards - NATA Accreditation No. 16838

Contract research services are routinely delivered for many international clients to identify molecules, differential expression and full characterization.  Some of these include:
  1. Protein identification
    • Mass spectrometry
    • De Novo peptide sequencing
    • Peptide mass fingerprinting
    • MS analysis of intact proteins and peptides
  2. Proteome mapping
  3. Differential expression
    • ITRAQ
    • 2-D Gel electrophoresis
  4. Quantitation - MRM
  5. Phosphorylation detection
  6. Disulphide Bridge Analysis
  7. Project consultation
  8. Additional services
    • N-Terminal sequencing
    • Amino acid analysis
    • DNA analysis my mass spectrometry
    • Circular dichroism
    • Surface plasmon resonance
    • Analytical ultra-centrifugation
    • Protein purification
  9. Fish species identification
  10. Peptide synthesis

Lead molecule discovery services are also readily available including:
  1. New drug molecules - peptide library derived from venom in the world biodiscovery hot spots using our proprietary Bioven process
  2. Biomarkers
  3. Food identification through proteins
Proteomics International has developed the Bioven process that it uses to extract venoms from indigenous Australian and other arthropods.  The peptides found from this work are screened in silico for potential bioactivity and leads taken on to further development.  The costs and process time for drug discovery are diminished.

Biomarkers

The company's work with protein biomarkers has resulted in two major outcomes.  Providing "truth in labelling" accreditation for a foodstuff has been developed by examining the protein profiles by mass spectrometry.  The present focus is on fish substitution.  How does diet affect disease, especially diabetes and obestity?  A big question being tackled by the company using a unique cohort of patient sera.  The answers will lie in diagnostics and in future, possible new drugs.
